Seems an odd decision but Kidd is a good coach and Robson worked well with Venables at Middlesbrough.

I suppose Sheffield United's way of thinking is that Robson has won promotion three (I think?) times, twice with Boro' and once with West Brom so thats behind the decision.

Unfortunately, he also has a tendancy to get relegated-twice-once with Boro and once with West Brom!

Suppose they'll cross that bridge and make an emotional re-appointment of Warnock in two years time then!
