I reckon before any tranfers out we had......

about ?600k - we were intested in both Taylor and Parkin for around about that each. In the end, I think Taylor would cost about ?1.2m and Parkin went for about ?700k in total.

So with perhaps ?600k in the kitty already, plus ?170k transfer fee for Helveg plus ?330k saved in wages and ?100k for Svensson plus about ?200k in saved wages, that makes about ?1.4m by my calculations before any further player sales.

We need to remember though that the kitty includes all wages and tax etc, so it does not mean just the transfer fee alone.
