A return Eurostar ticket, depending on which class I travel, will cost less than £50.

I think I am still entitled to free travel in Belguim and Holland, so I should be okay.

Just checked the Thalys webpage and it ain't that cheap. I hope that joint-operated between SNCB and NS bog standard Intercity still runs from Brussels to Amsterdam.
