Its a bit mixed isn't it? I don't personally think it is a 'huge' strain on his family afterall families cope with husbands in the forces or working on the rigs and afterall it is only for one year. I suppose it might boil down to whether or not a midlands club will offer him a deal, perhaps he is waiting to see what other offers he gets.
