a bit of googling suggests a couple of contexts where it's acceptable

Deep-south speak - the sort of language you would see in a Maya Angelou book or in the lyrics to a Moby track "Oh me oh mine, what a glorious mornin'"

Old-fashioned speak before a vowel or an H - "are mine eyes deceiving me?"
