FAO: Phrankin

Sorry, meant to post you up some FM2007 tips but my bloody net's playing up.

Anyway, a few cheap but superb (IMO anyway) signings;

Sean McDaid: Doncaster - £50k - D/WB L - Great back up for Drury. Or try signing Scott Barron from the Scum.

Chris Hogg: Hibernian - £60k - DC - Good back up to Doc and Shackell. Strangely came on in leaps and bounds when I had Dion Dublin tutoring him.

Billy Jones: Crewe - £1.5million - DRLC - The best defender outside the Premiership after my first season. Really classy signing, but expensive.

Paul Wotton: Plymouth - £150k - D/MC - Play him in midfield and set him to take all your free kicks - ended my season with 15 goals, 12 of them free kicks and 3 absolute belters!

James Fowler: Kilmarnock (IIRC) - £60k - DM/MRC - Replaced Safri as my defensive midfielder easily and is probably my top tip. Had to offer him an excellent wage to beat off Bolton though.

Charles Andre Doudin: Some french side - £120k - SC - Young, cheap and quick striker who provides competition for Earnie for me.

John Sutton: St Mirren - £50k - SC - Classy target man that I'm keeping for my first Premiership season as back up.

Other Tips:

Let the other teams poach your staff; except David Williams. He has Norwich as his favoured club, so offer him a contract if another club comes in for him. Reason being that Swansea in my game like to nick Doug Livermore to be their manager and David Williams makes a great replacement boss at a fraction of the price.

Release Thorne, sell Hughes, Fotheringham and MLJ. That frees up a big chunk of wage budget. Hucks still accepts a wage cut in return for a 2 year deal around £8k.

If you get a good bid for Earnshaw accept it; I'd sell for anything above £3.5mil - he's just not that good in the game. Consider buying Cardiff's Michael Chopra or Scunthorpe's Billy Sharpe as a replacement.
