I suggest the orange card - a sin-bin for 10 mins

First time yellow, second yellow = red only if dangerous play (i.e. booting somebody). If a second bookable rule violation such as simulation then orange and sin-bin for 10 mins with no replacement. If another bookable offense is committed after an orange then automatic red.

Alternative is enforced substitution - if two bookable offenses with neither being violent play, the player must leave but as long as the opposing team has a substitute they can use him. Don't like that though as professional fouls, etc, wouldn't really be punished (especially by the keeper).
