Anyone know anything about spread betting?

We did a forecast on the cricket world cup, results, number of runs/wickets etc. So far 548 wickets have fallen and I put 544 and 16,243 runs have been scored and I have forecast 16,415. Someone said to me that I'd have hit the bullseye big time If I'd placed a spread bet. What do you think?
