You obviously didn't read the tributes to Inman from the gay community after he died

The story I loved most was about a gay man in San Francisco who'd been helped to come to terms with his sexuality by watching repeats of Are You Being Served on US cable. He then saw John Inman in San Francisco and was so overcome with emotion that he fell off his bike and lay in the road shouting "I love you Mr Humphries!!"
