When I was a weeny bitty lawyer I used to do executive employment litigation - and have on many occasions included a clause which says "We will continue to pay your salary for a year, but in the event that you get another job, we will stop doing so".

And if we didn't include such a clause, then we are being run by numpties. What? Oh.
