Some managers land in a job and get lucky, Darren Huckerby made Worthington's success

Also managers have a shelf life, and after 3 years Worthy should have left half way through the season after the prem, instead of the club, media and himself babbling on about play offs. That sentimental attitude has put this club on the back foot, of which Grant is trying to sift through and sort out slowly

Was having a convo with someone on saturday about how Bruce should be sacked even if he takes Brum up, because he's blown 20m and is the most boring negative tactician, who's run his course at Brum. Mate didn't agree with me saying that if he took them up then that's all he can do. That's true but Brum would fly back down if Bruce carries on playing like that

Brum continually back him though, not realising they could have walked this division with a fresh manager and coaching team with that money to spend

Just like we could have done at the start of this season or by consolidating last season with a new man to look to this season

Over sentimentality towards Worthington meant there's 2 seasons we'll never get back, 2 seasons of parachute money that could have got us back to the prem, and 2 seasons of f**k ups that Grant has to pick up the pieces of

For everything Worthington achieved, largely through Huckerby great season, he didn't half damage us unnecessarily through his own arrogance
