nothing whatsoever to do with the "little Norwich" approach. After all we heard a lot of crap at the start of this season favouring comparing Adie Boothrpyd's big talk with our "little Norwich" approach but it made sod all difference to them. And Wigan spent most of last season commenting on making sure they had enough points to stay up.
Our problems in the Prem compared to Wigan and Reading were mainly because:
a) the team we went up with wasn't actually very good and way way short of Prem quality (we had a lot of luck in the Championship-winning season, both in games and with injuries, and a few key players conveniently had the season of their lives at the same time)
b) our manager had a negative approach - we pretty much always responded to going ahead by dropping virtually everyone to the edge of our own box - and poor team selection (Holt? Fleming?)
c) we had some bad luck with injuries at bad times
None of thoise things are anything to do with the "little Norwich" approach, which was more a board thing and I suspect didn't affect the players and management.
