Would he really have chosen us ahead of Blackburn? Mark Hughes is there and they are more likely to stay in the prem than we were if we'd stayed up. I don't think we would have been willing to take a risk on his wages either, considering how unlikely he would be to accept a relagation clause.

I'm surprised he didn't go to Everton really, would have thought he would have enjoyed playing in the Champions League. Not that I think they'll last long...
