No problem with result-based bonuses. If Chelsea players are on, say, £30k a year and still win the league, then bonuses all round.

If Lampard, for example, doesn't want to take a pay cut then he can move to Spain or retire. A cap will devastate the English system but the long-term effects will be wonderful.
