.... unless it was too far. I'd have thought they'd have a reasonable chance over a (relatively) short distance.

I doubt there was a firefight though - I imagine that would've come out from the Irainians.

I doubt they would've been fired upon if they backed off as surely that would be an act of war. Although, doesn't usually stop the yanks shooting at us! :)
