What about Roy Hodgson?

OK, not so successful at Blackburn (although he finished 6th in his first season, started the next badly and got sacked), but a lot of international experience, did well with Switzerland and Finland, and has managed in Italy as well.

Probably better than any of the English alternatives? (Incidentally, I'm with AB: I'd take Coppell over Pearce, Curbishley, McClaren or Allardyce).
