I need to get an optical cable, now you mention it...

I've got a quality 5.1 set-up in my room, but I only use the stereo connection into my amplifier from my PC.

Also, one of the Optical connection on my amplifier has gone, will have to take that back to Martin's Hi-fi to see if they can fix it.
