Stoke boss Tony Pulis on Andy Griffin's sending off:
"I have been to see the officials about the incident, and asked them to have another look at it. We'll certainly be appealing.
"In my opinion Andy went for the ball and got it, and it was the reaction of their player which prompted the referee to act.
"Youseff Safri was so badly hurt he got up a few minutes later and ran over to take their next free-kick. That sort of thing goes on a lot these days, it's not just him, and it's something I find very disappointing."
Seeing the replay on the telly this morning, I must join in Mr Pulis' protests. How dare Youseff force Andy Griffin to dive through the back of him with both sets of studs showing? And the nerve of him, getting up and not making a fuss about it, just shocking behaviour!
Silly prick should get an extra game's ban for making a frivolous appeal.
