Quite right.

The bottom 4/5/6 (depending on your point of view) aren't so good nor are we so bad that we will lose an 8 point gap between now and the end of the season.

BTW, rather liked this week's effort. It's clearly your style and you're comfortable with it which is important.

Colons don't help. Not many know how to read them properly.

Can I make a suggestion of a read for you? Think you'll get a lot from it stylistically even if you find the subject matter odd. Agent Zigzag by Ben Macintyre. Think you'll really like the concise nature of the text.
