Earnie was bought to score goals (which he's done in spades)

and at the time we bought him we were in with a realistic chance of making the play-offs but we'd sold our top striker, so there is a logic to say that all we needed to do was sign a prolific striker to replace the one we've just sold and everything else (with the addition of Johannson and Reheman on loan at the same time that Earnie was signed) would be alright

those 5 wins in a row really papered over a lot of cracks imo
