First two paragraphs

vicissitudes and pugnacious, didn't bother reading the third or beyond.

Now they're hardly words that'll get many reaching for the dictionary, but they do so seem to scream "I'M TRYING VERY VERY HARD".

Given that I wasn't motivated to read past the second paragraph, how many were there in total, out of interest?
