...a bit sensationalist. I heard on Five Live in an interview when they made that up - someone they were interviewing said it was in all likelihood a bomb. They ended the interview and announced "so there you are - most likely a suicide bomber, which is the mark of Al Qaeda".

The inconsistency was that a woman who witnessed the Liverpool St. explosion said she saw what looked like a discarded brown jumper explode. Now why would they mix the planting bombs and suicide bombs strategies ? Not really anyone's style is it ?
