The United States of America

Imagine if you will for a moment that the USA has gone on holiday to another planet for a few years (courtesy of Raymond Baxter and Thomas Cook). Which country/ies would you like to assume responsibility for world affairs by dint of it's superior wealth and military power? China perhaps or maybe a Franco German alliance? Or perhaps do you think an Iraq/Iran joint venture could do a job for us?
