Don't big yourself up, son

You're not that important on here. The anti-Christ is Peter Thorne, anyway, or possibly Duckson Etuwho?

Anyway, back to da yoof. I just can't agree that Worthy's record really amounts to giving young players a chance. He occcasionally used them as emergency stop-gaps. But he was addicted to the loan market (Zesh Rehmann, JJ2, Lisbie et al) and seemed to prefer a loan rather than to blood a youngster and give them a real chance.

I feel PG has got a much more coherent strategy. He's had a look, decided who's in the frame, decided who needs a loan out and has acted accordingly. Good stuff and something he's done better than Worthy, I think.
