*Help needed* moral/work dilema!

My other half has been denied a weeks holiday at the start of April when we should be moving into our house. She’s part of a 2 person team that produces MI so it’s their busiest time, apparently no other team would be allowed to drop to 50% staff level at their peak times. I can kind of get that, and I’m a bit gutted with myself I didn’t think of it. Not happy with the inference that we should of pushed for a different completion date though.
However the problem I have is that the misses ‘supervisor’ (the other 50% of the team) has got the first TWO weeks off in October, which is also the start of the month AND the start of the quarter. Basically exactly the reasons given for the missus holiday being denied.

Do I point this out and risk full scale office war in the hope it will force them to agree to the holiday, or at least get us some revenge! After all same rules must apply.
Or do I be the bigger man and let it slide?

Missus is unaware as yet, god help this place if she does find out.

Suggestions welcome!
