Gutted when he went to West Ham and, whilst he was there, he was on the fringe of the England squad. Came back to us and played in a slightly deeper role by Bond (?), never seemed quite the same player then.

Canary legend, as was, the vastly underrated John Ryan, up there with Bowen and Culverhouse as one of our best ever full backs-and got his fair share of goals as well.
