Doubtless many'll regard it as a blessing in disguise - but we've been flogging yet another dead horse as a result of a preposterously thin squad: no wonder Brown's looked so poor... So only Martin to rely on up front for two massive games over the next week (unless Dion recovers: and who here trusts Doc at the back over him anyway?).

Incidentally, according to the article, Jarvis can't be recalled until he's seen out at least a month at Brisbane Road. How come? Has this always been the case, or has it only been brought in in recent years? Shit, s**t, s**t...
