I most certainly am. Played a part in two of the goals apparently.

Perhaps he's not the player he was, although I would suggest that the reason he appeared to be a God for England for a few years was because he and Owen carried us until the emergence of other talents such as Lennon, Rooney, Hargreaves (eventually!) and Joe Cole.

But he's still a great player and certainly worthy of a midfield place ahead of Carrick / Dyer and, if I'm honest, SWP. Was a hoooge fan of him but he doesn't seem to really have enough for the international stage.

And why anyone would consider playing Andy Johnson on the right wing when you could have Beckham, I just don't understand.

He also is England through and through and has a s**tload of experience. If anything, he would be useful in the squad simply as a presence.

And as a person he was a bit stupid early on, but since has been fantastic. The odd red mist, but he's not the only great footballer to have had that. He's done really well for himself and can hardly be called a c**t when compared to the likes of Barton, Dyer, A.Cole, Bellamy, Muscat etc.

He's also being remarkably professional about his current situation as well. Well done Becks!
