... Life's too short an' all that. But Matt Scott's 'report' in today's Guardian seriously pissed me off. You can view it for yourself here:

I was so annoyed that he's just received an email from Disgusted of Oxford, which I've copied below. It's a bit pompous, I know - but why should we have to put up with this rubbish? Will let you know if he replies (fat chance, though...)
Dear Mr Scott,
On Saturday afternoon, a football match took place at Stamford Bridge. In this match, a side currently 18th in the Championship acquitted itself remarkably well away to the club which has spent more assembling its squad than anyone else in the history of the game: hitting the woodwork twice, almost going in front, and even when it fell two goals behind, continuing to be positive and to go for it, so risking the unjustly heavy scoreline which resulted. Indeed, even Chelsea's manager acknowledged how harsh the final score was, and how well Norwich City had performed.
I mention all this, because to judge by your 'report' in today's Guardian, you barely seem aware a game took place at all: and instead, appear to have spent your time attempting a spurious analysis of Jose Mourinho's body language based on nothing other than your own frenzied imagination. Nice work if you can get it... Of course, I appreciate that reports in the Monday papers offer a chance for detached reflection, and to discuss stories and side issues which emerged from any particular match - but your counterparts in the three remaining broadsheets have all done a perfectly adequate job reporting on Saturday's game. Why haven't you?
And more to the point, is it any wonder people are so bored of the utter monotony of the same four clubs dominating the Premiership, dominating the FA Cup, and getting richer and richer at everyone else's expense, when journalists like you apparently can't even be bothered to mention a side which did remarkably well against one of these four behemoths? Why bother, eh Mr Scott? I mean, it was only the FA Cup, after all...
Yours in sport,
Shaun Lawson.
