You probably didn't learn about Michel de Ruyter sailing up the Thames and kicking seven kinds of s**t out of the Royal Navy either ?

I didn't learn that until I came to Holland. Over here they all know it. But over here they don't learn that Holland had the largest number of SS volunteers of any occupied country. Or the largest percentage of Jews to be killed during the war (even higher than Poland). Why ? The thoughtful Dutch put the religion in every passport, and also were quite happy to assist the Germans as long as they were paid. Not all, I might add, but more than the will admit.
