Sennheiser are good for the price

I've had about 7 pairs of Sony headphones break on me, including the £35 quid in ear ones. A lot of them broke within a year so I got warranty replacements but that's probably the reason I trust them even less now!

Etymotic or Shure are good if you want something a bit better
