I think you are being a bit harsh

by ignoring the victories over Liverpool in 1909 & 1951, the win at Highbury in 54, the 58/9 run, and the win at Old Trafford in 67 (even the win at Munich)

City have been genuine gant-killers in the past and this would be just another notch in the bed-post (so to speak)
