This is what I am going to do if I can get a ticket

Get there on the day and come back the following day.

Book a flight with Easyjet as that is the cheapest I've found from either Gatwick or Luton to Barcelona.

Find a dirt cheap hotel.

Then book a ticket on the 08:45 train from Barcelona to Perpignan. Change there for the 12:18 TGV to Paris which gets to Paris Gare de Lyon at 17:25. Make my way across Paris and get the 19:19 Eurostar to London, which arrives there at 20:54.

Sorted.
