Grant may seemingly say too much at times but...

I'd rather have a manager who comes out at the end of a game and says what he genuinely things of the team and the performance rather than just spout the same old crap week after week whether we win, lose or draw. He's open and honest about everything he does and as a fan, whether you agree or disagree with decisions he makes, at least he doesn't feed us line after line of bulls**t. I like the guy. Yes things haven't gone as well in the last few weeks as when he started but we can only now start to judge him with the new players that HE has brought in.

So far Marshall looks good, Lappin was excellent yesterday and really looks the part. If his natural position is left midfield then he is a bloody good covering left back too! Fotheringham didn't stand out like Lappin yesterday (Although somehow got Man of the match i believe! - I did go, just left at the final whistle before that was announced), but he got stuck in at times and hopefully we'll see more of him in future weeks.

Finally Brown upfront. Yesterday was the first time I'd seen him and I thought he worked really hard considering he was very isolated for much of the match, for a big man he has a fair amount of pace and HOPEFULLY if we can start giving him some decent service he'll prove a decent signing. If we can hold on to Earnie into next season I fancy those two making a pretty handy partnership upfront.

I know we're not at our best right now, but I think the signings that he's brought in are all looking decent so far, and if we can just get up to a nice safe midtable position for this season I feel we will definitely be a lot stronger next season.
