Had a discussion about the championship standards the other day

We (myself and 3 friends that all support prem' league teams) concluded that the overall standard is fairly close to that of the old Div' 1 when the premier first kicked in. You may recall that it used to be full of jocks and taffs. Now they're all in the championship and have been replaced by continental players in the main.
