I'm not normally one to defend Waggers, but it's standard journalistic practice if you've mentioned the key moment of the game earlier on in a report (as he does here regarding Hux' goal), not necessarily to mention it again. So you often get reports which end abruptly, and amid what you might call a 'slow dissolve' - it's entirely intentional, though.
