Just how much have we spent in this transfer window?

I get it to about 600k, please correct me if I am wrong.

I pray the new signings add quality to the squad, as it will prove to be money wasted, if we have ended up again, with more Robinsons, Etuhus, Thornes et al, just with different names.

Something is definately not right behind the scenes. We nearly signed Cotterill in the summer for ?2m. McKenzie left for ?1m.

And yet we struggle to find just over ?0.5m

I know we are still waiting for instalments for some of the players we have sold, and with the mumblings being made from the club, and if you read between the lines, they've not found it easy to pay out this paltry amount.

Are we really that much lacking in cash?

I was expecting about ?1.5 - ?2m being available for players to sign permanently. Then with players leaving and more going on loan enough to get a couple more in on loan.

Not an excessive amount to spend for a well supported championship club with a small squad.

It appears as though I went to bed and woke up and all of a sudden we were Crewe Alexandra, and would have to break the bank to find ?300,000.

"Prudence" This word has really worked for Norwich, hasn't it. It appears as though bloody prudence has made us bloody skint, how can that be?

Is the club really being run by inept people with such a lack of financial know how?

I sit here and wonder what on earth has happened?

-Have we suddenly had to pay out a massive final payment on a loan?

-Have we been well and truly shafted by some dodgy small print?

- Or more likely, have we been lied to for god knows how many years about our financial situation, and the club have just tried to cover it?

The alarm bells started ringing for me when the statement was released that we were preparing for league one.

Hang on, prudence in the Premiership, prudence in the championship, prudence in league one. Those running the club surely can't be that inept that they cannot see what is happening.

I apologise for the long rant, but I am so annoyed by this. The club is going backwards fast.

I now wonder how far we are from becoming what Oxford United have become.
