I think a fee depends on the player's sitchewation

if the player is surplus to requirements or the club see a benefit from going on loan then there should be no need for a fee, just the wages. However if the player is playing first team football then there has to be a sweetner.

Maybe the clubs are being cheeky and asking for a fee just to see if we agree...afterall there is no harm in asking eh?
