... Robinson played well on Saturday too, of course: what's going on? Norman, re: what happened in the 2nd half: back in 2000, Hearts played Rangers in Craig Levein's first game in charge. Hearts played surprisingly well, and the bluenoses were reduced to first ten, then late on, nine men (sound familiar?)...

But Hearts' response to this was to cluelessly lump balls into the box, which even their depleted defence could deal with til the cows came home - and never woke up to the basic reality that, had we (Hearts are my Scottish side) looked to pass and move, and stretch the opposition, they would inevitably have tired and chances would've been bound to follow as a result.

Rangers won 1-0 (another similarity): is that in any way a parallel to what happened tonight? Because that's what I meant by predictability and lack of class: were we unlucky, or did we just lack the basic footballing sense with which to break them down?
