But the fact is that we aren't because a manager (who HAD previously been pretty successful, whatever your opinion of his abilities) made some bad decisions. Crap like that happens to all clubs at some point and we can't cahnge it so there isn't much point whining about it. Now we are in a position where we have to start again from scratch and build a competitive team. That will probably take a few years (hopefully not as many as last time) but it will be worth waiting when it happens. The reality is we can't buy our way into contention, so it will take good decisions by the manager and it would be nice if the Academy contributed something too
