Our board really is pathetic

All this prudence with ambition cr*p (about as meaningful and as wrongheaded as 'tough on crime tough on the cause...'). They've presided over a total shambles for three successive seasons. Indecision matched by underinvestment at every crucial point.

We are now spiralling into league one with a greatly depleted squad and 2 days of the transfer window to go. Who are we linked with to save our season ?
A journeyman from Scotland on a free who's going to turn us down. A left winger we won't be able to get from ST MIRREN !!!! Christ, we'll be hearing that Kings Lynn had a forward we wanted and with Webb's city links we thought we could get him but the deal hit a snag over personal terms....

Stuff the cost, if this board can't see taht we need a defender, a midfielder and a ? 1 million plus striker then they really need their heads read. They were prepared to spend 2million on a 17 year old from Bristol when they thought we'd be safe, now were facing disaster we may as well have John Reid in charge. If necessary sell Earnie as soon as hes fit but for christ sakes what price will we get for him if we're trying to sell him from league 1.

I'm afraid I'm now very pessimistic as not only are refereeing decisions and injuries starting to conspire against us (the mark of a doomed team is bad luck), the bad feeling that will come with no significant signings and a defeat tommorrow doesn't bear thinking about.
