but basically some guy contacted dave gorman to tell him that his website was a google whack (if you typed in two words in google, his page was the only result).

Then the guy came round his house and they 'googlewhacked' together (nice euphemism) and the guy found a googlewhack for a site made by someone Dave Gorman knew (who was apparently called dave gorman too). Considering gorman also did another series where he met all the dave gormans on the planet, i suppose it reduces the coincidence factor a bit, but still...

all you need to do is find a google whack and then look at the name of the person who made the site. If the name is the same as yours then it proves that this sort of coincidence happens all the time.
