But that made me hate Cantona, not Man Utd.

To be honest I mostly disliked them because of their constant crowing that they were a top team when they were finishing mid-table every season, and finding all sorts of reasons that they hadn't won anything in yonks. And then when they proved themselves right and dominated the league I disliked them more.
