Worthy overpaid?

How come Micky Adams signs a three year contract in the summer, is sacked and his payoff is ?300,000, and Worthy is sacked and his year contract (12-month rolling) payoff is ?600,000? Was he not on divisional wages? Coventry and Norwich aren't that far apart in terms of club size.
