Got to stick up for him a bit-though I very much doubt he'll come here-its said that he has been pretty damned ordinary at Southampton and whilst on loan at Leicester, Redknapp has virtually admitted he is one of the reserves who just want to stick around and "earn good money".

If either of these teams played him in his best position, that of centre half, then they'd see a different player and a better player. He was distinctly ordinary for us when Worthy played him as right back as well, however, when circumstances forced him to play him as one of the central pairing, he was excellent.

If Redknapp and others can't see his best and favoured position, then more fool them. Kents is an excellent centre half, mediocre right back, end of. I'd love to see him partnering Shacks but it'll never happen-be a bloody brilliant pairing though.
