Same as always. Grant's not stupid, he knows how much needs to change and given that the pot of money is limited, the more he has to do the less he can spend on individual signings. He'll have a list of priorities, which has just gone out the window with Earnshaw's injury, cos if the wee man's done for the season he'll need all his sheckles to pull a goalscorer out of the hat. ?2.5m for Rowan Vine? ?1m for Jon Stead, for crissakes? That makes Panicbuyi at ?750k look like a decent buy!
Before that, I got the feeling his priorities lay mainly with goalkeeper, the left side, and the middle of midfield. He very obviously doesn't rate Gallacher - virtually the first thing he did was loan Ashdown - but I think the reason he hasn't signed Camp and is going for Marshall on loan is he wants to keep his powder dry to use elsewhere if he can get a decent keeper on loan, then address that problem long-term in the summer. Derby just want rid (I remember a rumour that he'd somehow made himself persona non grata) and want the dosh up front.
As for the other options, your guess is as good as mine. I suspect it will all hinge on Earnshaw's injury
