In which case, if I were on the board

I would ask Worthington which other previously inconsistent, but fundamentally talented, players he had got to fulfil their potential? McVeigh possibly?
Etuhu is a player who had the reputation of having a bad attitude at Manchester City. At Preston he was reckoned to play one good game in six (which seems about right). So I would also have asked Worthington - who, we know, considered he already had a "wealth" of midfielders - if it was really wise to blow his ENTIRE transfer budget on someone so open to doubt, playing in a position the manager reckoned we already had covered?
I'm beginning to think that Etuhu is like the team as a whole - not actually good but strangely inconsistent - but, rather, fundamentally s**t but can very occasionally look good when up against an opponoent whose style is tailor-made for him.
