Why would Brown be a good signing ?!!

I've now read two or three positive comments, and I'm really confused by the reaction.

The bloke has scored only 8 goals in 63 appearances in the Championship, and 10 in 22 for Doncaster didn't exactly rip up the lower divisions either.

He's also shown himself to be a bit of a t**t. Surely our "bid" should be no more than 50k. He doesn't seem like much of a better option than Jarvis or Henderson.
