Bryan Gunn - His Book

I read his book over Christmas and, although the depth was lacking (especially about our early to mid 90?s period), I really enjoyed it. I'm not sure it would be a particularly interesting read to a non Norwich or Aberdeen fan.

Some elements that stood out in my mind:

* The obvious - what great strength to overcome the death of his daughter.
* Fair play to QPR players and fans during his first match afterwards.
* I had no idea that he was such a friend of Alex Ferguson.
* Jeremy Goss - what a star! What a character! Some great stories! I had no inkling of this side of his personality, as described by Gunny (if anything, the impression I got at the time was the opposite - i.e. quite dour).
* Ian Crook's post training feed. How on earth did he survive so long playing at such a high level. Hold on a minute, it must be because in the days before the OPTA stats someone else must have done his running!
* Gunny, could have lied about the abilities of Steve Bruce - maybe we could have held on to him!
* Martin O'Neil: a short stay at CR but still a few good stories in the book, especially the conversation with Gunny during training, fantastic!
* I don?t think Gunny likes Andy Marshall much!

What a legend!
