Sunderland shipped two in and two out yesterday.
We'll get the usual "...we made phone calls but no-one seems to want to sell..." rubbish.
Do we have, incidentally, a European scouting network? I am assuming some very handy players can be brought in from the continent, relatively cheaply, and, if you get a gem (Bolton with Tal-him (sp), the French centre half at, I think WBA, got for a song, now valued at ?2 Million plus) then a good sell on value.
We seem to "exclusively" want Premiership squad players, if you listen to Grant. I suspect little will happen, and, as usual, it won't be down to the club, but due to the fact that "no-one wants to sell"-well Mr Doncaster and co, about 40 transfers have gone through in the first couple of days of this month, that should say something-market is bouyant, if you make a bit of an effort!
